I had a unique work/training opportunity that involved therapy/counseling, case management and assessment in a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility. This dynamic learning experience engendered a profound understanding and respect for the patients and staff engaged in a spiritual/recovery addiction program.
Psychologist Provider (May 2001-February 2002) PENN-Friends Behavioral Health
Fort Washington, Pennsylvania Services
Provided psychological therapeutic interventions for medically necessary conditions to families, children, adolescents, and couples in their homes. Treatment plans were based on multiaxial diagnoses. In cases of organic conditions, worked closely with physicians to support medical treatment. Guided clients in building a support system and helped them access community resources.
Psychologist (1977-2002) Pennsbury School District, Fallsington, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities included: an emphasis on clinical delivery of psychological services that involved individual group and family counseling, consultation with teachers, support staff, emotional support program, and administration. Provided crisis intervention, comprehensive psychological assessments, re-evaluations, and program development Served on schools’ multidisciplinary teams, supervised and trained psychology interns. Demonstrated special skills in mediating and defusing parent-school and student-student conflict. Maintained an active role in initiating staff development programs.

Psychology Internship (September thru December 1973) The Woods Schools
Langhorne, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities included providing comprehensive psychological services to a residential population. To address staff concerns in one of the residential units developed a twenty-four-hour behavior modification program for twenty emotionally challenged young males. I received excellent supervision for clinical and psychological assessment in this unique setting.
